The Victorian Parliamentary Former Members Association (VPFMA) is an incorporated association (Reg.No.A0094073P) for the approximately 300 Victorian retired members of the state parliament.
We are an advocacy, wellbeing and social group that supports former members of parliament continue the associations they established as members of Parliament.
The VPFMA continues the fellowship established as Members of Parliament by facilitating social opportunities and regular communication.
A priority area of the Association is the welfare and wellbeing of all former members and one of the major projects the committee has commissioned is the groundbreaking research report “Transitioning to Life After Parliament” undertaken by Deakin University.
The Committee’s Wellbeing & Support sub-group also proudly initiated a visitation program that will ensure that more senior former members are not isolated from our membership. This sub-group also makes contact with defeated/retiring members post election.
